Bladed Article Policy — Fire and Rescue Tools Ltd

Pursuant to UK law, including the Criminal Justice Act 1988 and the Offensive Weapons Act 2019, the sale of bladed articles is restricted to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Fire and Rescue Tools Ltd takes its legal obligations regarding the sale of bladed articles seriously and has implemented the following policy.

1. Age Restriction

Fire and Rescue Tools Ltd will not sell bladed articles to any person under the age of 18. By purchasing a bladed article from our website, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over and that you are legally permitted to purchase the item in your jurisdiction.

2. Age Verification at Checkout

At the point of purchase, customers are required to confirm that they are aged 18 or over. By completing a purchase of a bladed article, the customer represents to Fire and Rescue Tools Ltd that they meet this requirement. We reserve the right to cancel any order where we have reason to believe this requirement has not been met.

3. Age Verification on Delivery

All orders containing bladed articles are dispatched exclusively using Royal Mail's Age Verified Delivery service, regardless of blade length or locking mechanism. This applies to all bladed products without exception.

Upon delivery, the recipient will be required to provide valid proof of age and identity to the Royal Mail delivery officer before the package can be handed over. Failure to provide acceptable identification will result in the package being returned to us. Bladed articles cannot be left unattended, delivered to a neighbour, or accepted by a third party on the recipient's behalf.

The package and delivery label will clearly indicate that the parcel contains a bladed article and that age verification is required on receipt.

4. Customer Responsibility

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure they are aged 18 or over, to provide accurate information during the checkout process, and to ensure that the delivery address is a residential address where they will be present to accept and verify delivery. Any false or misleading information may result in cancellation of the order.

5. Additional Verification

In certain circumstances we may contact you to request additional proof of age or identity, such as a copy of a valid UK driving licence or passport, before processing your order. Any identification documents received for this purpose will be deleted immediately once verification is complete and will not be retained.

6. International Shipping

Due to the requirements of our age verification delivery service, we are unable to ship bladed articles outside of the United Kingdom.

7. Responsible Use

All bladed articles sold by Fire and Rescue Tools Ltd are intended for lawful use only. By purchasing a bladed article, you confirm that you will use the item only in a lawful manner and in accordance with all applicable UK laws and regulations, including those governing the carrying of bladed articles in public places.

8. Policy Review
